Info: Heavily involved in historic preservation as an economic development tool in Wake County and beyond, I'm also following in Mama's (Augusta Lee Pate Scarborough, HHS '40)footsteps and a practicing beekeeper. I deliver hives of bees to horticultural and agricultural sites in order to enhance pollination and production of food, flower, and forage crops.  My installations include periodic health and welfare visits to assure the success of the hive.  Who knew there'd ever be a shortage of honey bees?  The demand for local honey is becoming so great that I'll be extracting and marketing location specific honey beginning in July.

I was married to Jess Currie for 20 years and have three children, Jess(41), lives in Hamlet, Amy Hildreth (40) lives in Wadesboro and Joseph (32), also lives in Wadesboro.I have three grandchildren, Nathan, 20, Jessica 18 and Brittany 11. 
 I moved to Wilmington in 1987.While in Wilmington I was office manager at a beverage distributing company.  I also taught dancing at Fred Astaire Studios for a year and taught shag for 10 years.  During my time in Wilmington I did extra work on a few movies and tv shows. 
I met my husband Paul while teaching shag.  We dated for six years and were married on Wrightsville Beach two years ago in March. I still have my home in Wilmington and get back down about once a month.
We like to travel by air and in our RV, my favorite place is Nassau.
I recently learned how to quilt, love to work in the yard and my hobby is photography.
