Info: I did not graduate from Hamlet High School, I moved to Forest City NC in 1960 after the death of my mother. I graduated from East Rutherford H.S. in 1964,if I had stayed I would have been part of the class of 64'.  I was born and raised in Hamlet and I feel like that’s my home, I still have a lot of friends there. I did attend school in the old building, grades 1st thru 8th and have fond memories of those days especially Boyd Lake. I retired from Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Dept. in 1996 as a helicopter pilot and have been flying for Hendrick Motorsports since 1999.

I graduated from HHS in 1964 went into USAF where I trained for security services as a Russian linguist I spent a year at the UP. of Indiana. From there I went overseas to Crete in the Mediterranean. I came back to Kelly AFB in Texas. After the air force I stayed in Texas for 15 years working at Southwester Bell telephone. I returned to N.C. in 1984 and worked with the USPS until I retired in 1998. I now live in Lexington. N.C. We have one son Michael who is an Army Captain and a veterinarian. He graduated from N.C. State School of Veterinary Medicine. We have one daughter Allison, who is a High Point University and a web designer for Storehouse Furniture in Atlanta. My wife and I spend most of our time volunteering in church-related activities.
