I MISSED THE CHANCE OF GRADUATING WITH MY CLASS BECAUSE I JOINED THE ARMY WHICH WAS NOT A SMART THING TO DO. HOW WELL I REMEMBER THE FUN WE HAD IN THE EIGHTH GRADE IN THE BASEMENT AT FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS WITH TOM THE TEACHER. I BELEIVE HE RETIRED FROM TEACHING THE NEXT YEAR. 12/2009

My husband and I are both retired. I retired from teaching elementary school(mostly third grade) in June of 2009 after 32 great years. We have 2 daughters who live fairly close to us and 2 wonderful grandchildren. One daughter is a teacher, and the other daughter is a nurse practitioner. Carl and I enjoy our family, church activities, friends, traveling,and cheering for Duke! Both girls graduated from UNC but Carl and I have remained True Blue!!                   4/2010
