Info From Hamlet High I entered Duke University and graduated in 1954, taught school in Winston Salem, and in 1956 met my husband Aram Chorebanian when I was working for Red Cross at Ft Campbell KY. After Ft Campbell we lived in the Ft. Bragg area, Chapel Hill NC, Germany, Ft. Huachuca AZ and finally, here in Tucson.
Aram retired from Ft. Huachuca AZ in 1973 and we moved to nearby Tucson where we still live. We have 4 children. Our Mark, born in Hopkinsville KY, is now 45, and an MD at the Tucson VA Hospital. His wife, Carol, is a nurse at University Medical Center here. Our own Carol arrived at Richmond County Hospital in 1958 while Aram was in Korea and I was living in Hamlet with my parents. She is married to Mark Julien, a High School Speech and English teacher in Flagstaff AZ. Carol also works for the Flagstaff Public Schools as a speech pathologist. They have 2 children, Emily, who just completed her freshman year at the University of Arizona here in Tucson, and Adam, a junior in high school. Skiing is the thing he adores, but because of the drought Flagstaff has been short on snow this year. This coming school year Emily will be an exchange student at the University of Northern British Columbia. We'll miss her so much! Aram and I have been working in real estate since we arrived in Tucson, now with LONG REALTY CO. At present I mostly dabble in it, but Aram is still going strong. Neither Mark, nor Aram's son, Gregg, have children, but both are married to Carols...so that makes 3 in our family! And with two Marks we're happy that our newly acquired son in law is named David. We don't yet know what Lisa's calling herself now...Lisa Armour, or maybe Chorebanian-Armour?? We should know soon as they're to return from their honeymoon this weekend. David's an architect and Lisa's in marketing. We hope they'll find time to add to our grandchildren pool before too long. Tucson has lovely winters and is full of grey haired visitors taking enjoying the warm weather. Summers here are a bummer, though...too hot!
I love all the pictueres and comments about Hamlet and look forward to more. Nancy O'Brien Chorebanian
